1. BREAST augmentation using the SUBFASCIAL TECHNIque

More and more women seek to correct their breast, which is a timeless symbol of maternity and eroticism in our society. This correction is usually achieved by breast augmentation.

Silicone implants are used that do not create problems to patients while allowing them future breastfeeding. The technique to be followed is identified based on the particular needs of each patient. The incision through which the implant will  be inserted can be either in the sulcus located in the crease under the breast or in the lower limit of the areola, which is the dark area surrounding the nipple.

The evolution of techniques and instruments in plastic surgery led to the development of the subfascial technique, i.e. the placement of the implant below the fascia of the major pectoralis muscle.

This is a radical technique that combines the advantages of all older techniques without any of their disadvantages.

As a result AFTER the operation THE BREAST has A VERY NATURAL look without signs of surgery.

  • Exquisite results that are immediately postoperatively appreciated by the patient
  • Subfascial technique combined with short inframammary scar produces unsurpassed results
  • Textured cohesive implants produce completely natural looks.

Although greater volume breasts can sometimes be enviable, oversized breasts pose many problems for women.

The posture of the body and the spinal cord is affected leading to various aches in the back, neck, shoulders, numbness of the upper limb and even persistent headaches.

Although greater volume breasts can sometimes be enviable, oversized breasts pose many problems for women. The posture of the body and the spinal cord are affected leading to various aches in the back, neck, shoulders, numbness of the upper limbs and even persistent headaches.

These women have a tendency to avoid social events and physical activities. Also, they are often found to gain in weight easily. The contribution of plastic surgery in these cases can be decisive. The breasts can be completely altered, reduced in size and repositioned on the chest wall resembling that of what they used to be at the end of puberty.

It is an indisputable fact that the female breasts play an important role in breast feeding, however, along with their function in feeding infants, female breasts have social and sexual characteristics that attract the attention of the opposite sex which are equally important since their attractiveness enhances a woman’s self-esteem and self-confidence.

Many men and women suffer from "lipodystrophy", a disproportionate concentration of fat in certain local areas of the body. A typical example is "buns", which are hard to get rid of only through physical exercise and diet. Other problems are the double chin on the face, abdomen and waist, buttocks, the inner and outer thighs, the knees and gynecomastia in men.

The term "liposculpturing" means the removal of fat using delicate cannulas. The term "lipoplasty" means its transfer to nearby or distant areas of the body, namely the autologous grafting or lipoprosthetics. The term “mechanically assisted liposuction" refers to the procedure carried out with the help of special devices, which give the thin cannulas a horizontal and circular motion.

The technique we use is a combination of all the above and is called "mechanically assisted microreticulated lipoplasty". The excellent and thorough preoperative planning and the use of all previous techniques in combination offer a highly detailed result.

Mechanical assistance contributes to the tireless, thorough and persistent removal of fat. The fat is collected and then it can be repositioned as mentioned in various other parts of the body (lipofilling = lipoprosthetics) that need it, so that the body gets a perfect harmony. For example, the doctor may take a certain amount of fat from the abdomen and place it in the calves when they are shapely, or in another area such as the face, lips, or for highlighting the cheekbones.

The operation in a nutshell: It applies to persons over the age of 16 and performed under local anesthesia and sedation. After surgery, the patient can return home. The procedure involves injecting large amount of anesthetic solution to the problematic area and then removing the fat. After processing, it is reintroduced into the body to correct imperfections.

  • Shorter operation time.
  • It minimizes the pain and postoperative swelling and bruising.
  • Day surgery: The patient leaves the hospital 2 hours after the end of the procedure.
  • Extension of liposuction indications in older people.
  • The machine has an integrated security system.
  • The procedure is done without incisions, with just a few tiny holes of 0.5 cm.
  • The duration of the effect is long, if the patient's weight remains unchanged.

Our face betrays our age, as the signs of aging over time are increasingly obvious. Moisturizing creams can help but cannot cope with wrinkles or skin relaxation.

Facelift is an operation in which the physician reconstructs the tissues beneath the facial skin, shaping a youthful skin for the patient.

By choosing techniques "respecting" the facial structure, we fight aging at its root and give the face a smooth and youthful appearance, ensuring a totally natural result.

You can return home one day after the end of the procedure, which is done with sedation and local anesthesia, without total anesthesia. The incisions made are hidden in hair and on the face’s physical aspects, so the signs are not visible postoperatively and they disappear soon.

Who can perform the surgery?

The surgery is mainly performed to people aged 40 years and above, but in some cases it is performed to younger people who want to rejuvenate their face or have a relevant aesthetic problem.

6. augmentation BLEPHAROPLASTY /

The pinnacle of glamor on every beautiful face lies in the look, the image and colors brought by eyes. In this sense blepharoplasty is a surgery that restores the youthful image of eyes, removing the sagging skin and correcting fat hernias that create the well-known bags, giving shine and vitality to a tired look.

For many years, blepharoplasty blamed the resulting fat mainly in the lower eyelid for the bad image of the eyes. As a result, the techniques developed stripped the periocular space off its fat cells, creating what was called “hollow eye” or otherwise image of empty eye. This describes the image of an eyeball surrounded by an empty orbit.

Modern views and blepharoplasty techniques have noted the ugly picture resulting from stripping the periocular space off its fat. In addition they aim at restoring the volume deficits in the space with autologous fat grafting. Therefore, not only we don’t remove the fat of the area, but we reconfigure it anatomically deep in the eyeball, which is its normal anatomical position, taking fat from other parts of the body.

  • Restores the youthful look of the orbit
  • Virtually invisible incisions and subsequent scars
  • Day surgery procedure with minimal anaesthesia
  • Long lasting results.

7. Abdominoplasty

The abdominoplasty is the only real solution to the treatment of excess skin and subcutaneous fat in the abdomen. It usually requires general anesthesia. However,  when the operation is limited to the correction of skin area below the navel (mini abdominoplasty) it can be performed under local anesthesia and/or sedation.

How is the procedure performed?

In normal abdominoplasty, from a small incision in the anterior abdomen, below the level of the undergarment, the abdominal wall is detached up to well above the navel. Then, if necessary, the abdominal wall is strengthened with appropriate suture and the skin is mobilized down to come and be sutured so as to completely flatten the belly. The navel does not change position, but remains exactly in the same height.

The surgery results in removing a large quantity of skin and fat from the abdomen and in strengthening the abdominal wall thus avoiding any future hernias. Therefore, it may have an aesthetical and functional result.

Postoperatively, patients wear a rubber binder supporting the abdominal wall and helps make the effect permanent.

By removing the excess tissue, abdominoplasty brings a unique change in the image of the body which after surgery looks much better and youthful. Τhe big belly affects not only how we are dressed but also our attitude, both in standing and in sitting positionw. Especially for patients who have undergone a bariatric surgery (balloon, gastric banding, gastric bypass) and have lost too much weight, abdominoplasty is the only option to recover an aesthetically acceptable body.

8. Gynaecomastia

The benign breast swelling in men, that looks like a woman’s breast is called gynaecomastia. This augmentation may be related to breast tissue, subcutaneous fat and skin. It is anti-aesthetic for men because they cannot hide their breasts and thus they become the subject of comments.

Gynaecomastia can be divided into two different categories depending on the cause of the problem:

Pseudogynecomastia may result from fat deposition due to obesity or excess skin after weight loss. Pseudogynaecomastia can be present in obese persons and remain even after weight loss. In that case it is operated directly, without looking for other causes.

True gynaecomastia, on the other hand, is caused by a real proliferation of milk ducts and the gland. In true gynaecomastia an endocrine disorder preexists and must be considered. In this case if the cause cured and gynecomastia still remain, a surgery will be needed.

This disorder can be:

  • Normal as a result of physiological changes in hormones.
  • Neonatal: Breasts are swollen in newborns at birth. This is due to the mother's hormones and subsides after a few weeks.
  • Adolescent: Partial swelling of breasts in several boys caused by hormone secretion due to normal development. Swelling is minor, does not create psychological difficulties and disappears in 1-3 years without surgery.
  • Climacteric: At an age where a man’s genital functions weaken, swelling of breasts may rarely occur. The age at which this may occur varies and may need endocrinological investigation.
  • Endogenous resulting from a pathological dysfunction of a gland. This case requires a complete history, physical examination and laboratory tests to find the cause. It needs immediate surgery but the existing disease should be cured.
  • Extrinsic resulting from medication.
  • Gynaecomastia may be caused by hormones, certain diuretics, aldosterone antagonists, isoniazid, radioactive iodines, etc.

How is the surgery performed and how long does it last?

Depending on the case, it requires a complete or local anesthesia and sedation. Complete anesthesia is applied only if a mammary gland removal is necessary.

Two small holes are created on the breast area, one on each side and the Vibro-Lipo tap sucks fat. It is short, safe and leaves no scars. There will be only 2-3 sutures that will be removed in 8 days. After surgery, you’ll have to wear a special corset. You can go home the same day. Swelling and bruising disappear in 1-2 weeks. The final shape will be visible in about a month.

In case of excess skin, it is removed through incisions around the nipple, Then, careful suturing is needed.

  • Single hole procedure
  • Periareolar approach when skin reduction is required
  • Local anaesthesia and sedation
